Mack Bryant has been an NFL fan “since days of Underoos,” tracing his fandom back to Super Bowl XII, the first Super Bowl he remembers watching as a 7-year-old. He’s been about the numbers since Day 1 as well, watching games on his parents’ living room floor while keeping stats with a No. 2 pencil, erasing and updating with every quarterback pass or running back carry.

The first game Mack ever attended was a preseason game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots held at the University of Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. His seat was at the top of the 100,000-seat building, making the players look like little ants, but he wasn't bothered. He was too busy keeping stats with a spiral-bound notebook and, again, a No. 2 pencil.

The first "meaningful" game Mack attended was one of the last home games played by the St. Louis Cardinals before relocating to Arizona. It turned out to be a historically significant game. That day, the Cardinals set the NFL record for largest 4th quarter comeback, overcoming a 28-3 deficit to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-28. But more than that, he was memorized by the sight and sounds that can only be fully appreciated in person... the roar of the crowd, the crunch of high speed collisions, the beauty of a perfectly thrown deep spiral, and so many more. He has been in love with the NFL game for longer than he can remember!

Mack considers himself an NFL “Fanstorian,” a fan first, but also an NFL historian with a passion for celebrating the greats of every era in the sport. Mack has two adult children, both NFL fanatics as well. His firstborn’s first NFL jersey was a onesie purchased at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio when the boy was less than a year old. True story. The boy attended his first eight NFL games wearing that onesie. Today, he and his younger sister love ‘ball as much as Mack does.

Of course, Mack's children are NFL fans. As he says, “immersing one’s children in the NFL is simply responsible parenting. 'Ball is Love!”
